Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I worked for the Rockford Park District as a park ranger, and track & field coach. I instructed kids in gym classes and for running practice ranging from ages 4-17 it was a really fun experience and job for the summer which actually lead into me becoming a nanny!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love going outside in nature and if kiddos are old enough à library run always is fun! I love to read myself so getting to share some of my common interests with them is refreshing! I also have a different hobby like every day so sometimes I introduce the kids to it like for example I’ve been teaching myself a bit of French and ASL so if parents allow. I teach some to the kids, I do yoga as well so sometimes I’ll give them stretch exercises to do or different workout activities just to keep them active and moving!
The most important part about being a nanny...
Is being accepting, not all families or kids are perfect and that is ok. As a nanny we open ourselves up to different walks of life and so being able to adapt and understand growth and change happens for everyone is a key step!

I’ve been babysitting/ nannying for a while and it’s like I’ll never forget any of the children I’ve watched over. They all are so sweet and it’s like you know they’ll probably forget you, but even still as a nanny you know you won’t forget them.
