I am the girl that doesn't mind playing with children. I will play tag or I can build a fort. Coloring and stories seem to be my specialty! I have experience working professionally with children in a daycare setting. The children I cared for ranged from ages 6 weeks to 12 years old. I can change a diaper just as easy as I can fix a bottle. With 10+ years of experience babysitting and 9+ being a daycare teacher, I have picked up a few tricks and earned some certifications such as my CPR/First Aid cert as well as my CDA (early childhood education/development) credential. Your children will have my full, undivided attention at ALL times. I am someone you can depend on. I have experience in Special Needs Care. I'm available full time!

Last family I worked for (4yrs) the youngest was struggling to learn her alphabet, even while in preschool. I made a game of hiding letters around the house (one letter at a time). And when she found one, I'd ask "What letter is it? What sound does it make? Do you know any words that syatt with that letter?" And it was such a huge, fun game for her. She'd scream from upstairs "Chantal! I foind another 'U'!" And we'd put it in a ziplocl bag until she found all of them. I would also tell her how many were hidden so we also practiced counting at the same time "Ok, we have 15. So we need to find 5 more." Also, I never hid more than a few of them where she could easily look an find them. I'd hid them in different games she liked or something she might not touch for a week. So it took a bit to find them all and it was no pressure on her to find them either. This was one of my favorite teaching/fun moments.
