Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I cared for twins from birth to 2 years old. They grew older and eventually started daycare because it was more affordable as she eventually had a third one! I took care of another 3 year old as an occasional sitter when she couldnt go to daycare or her mom went out.

The most important part about being a nanny with organization, a great schedule that works for your child (every child is different with this), having fun and learning in order to grow!
My experience with special needs children...
I took care of a boy who was autistic and we both learned together ways to cope with it and a great system for him to get everything he needed when he needed it without feeling the need to cry and kick his feet for two hours. He was a very destructive 2 year old boy. We let his dad in on the system that worked for him and hes been doing great. Hes been growing into a less destructive little boy who listens better and he learning to cope with his feelings a lot better and actually getting into learning with books and educational toys in a healthy way! It wasn't always easy, but him and his family are now more at ease with how much easier his behavior has become.
