Kept campers safe during field trips and pool time with lifeguards, other counselors, and camp directors. Harbor Haven is a camp for kids with special needs.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I would enjoy going on walks/to parks, reading, going to museums or libraries, playing board games or Legos, imaginative play, and helping with homework. I am open to doing science experiments or baking/cooking with older children (10+ years old). I'm always open to finding new, fun, age-appropriate activities as well.
The most important part about being a nanny...
is providing safe, attentive care. Parents are trusting nannies to keep their kids and homes safe while they're busy working, and it's so important that I actually do as I am asked to do. Another really important point for me is helping the kids learn and grow - and learning/growing with them!
My experience with special needs children...
Assistant Counselor and Bus Counselor, Harbor Haven, Jun 2024 – Aug 2024. All of the campers had special needs, though none were specifically disclosed to me by the staff. Our training included instruction on how to care for campers with autism and ADHD specifically. I am also familiar with OCD and ARFID.
