More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I volunteered at my local elementary school in one of their 3rd grade classrooms assisting the teacher with whatever she needed. I also tutored in reading, math and science on the 3rd grade level.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I really love arts and crafts, singing, dancing, laughter and just being silly with kids. I am also an avid reader. My idea of a fun outing is going to the bookstore and coming out with our own treasures.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Providing a safe environment for children. I believe in guidance not cruelty. There should never be a reason to abuse them. Uplifting their self-esteem is always my goal.

My experience with special needs children...

I have 2 special needs children and one grandchild with physical disabilities also. They are all adults now and leading productive lives. "I can't ..." is not part of our vocabulary; instead I teach " I don't know how". All things are achievable if you put your mind to it.

The most important part about being a nanny...

When the babies I nannied both started school. They acclimated immediately and fit into the teacher's routine without being traumatized. I felt like I was the proud parent (lol).
