Overall the child's safety and wellbeing; but also knowing that there really isn't any bad behavior just for the sake of being "bad", that there's always a root issue (tired, hungry, wants attention), and once that issue is addressed, normally the behavior fixes itself.

I worked in the significant disability room at Audubon elementary school.

My favorite moment was when I had been gone for the summer, and I came back to this family and the little girl ran and jumped into my arms because she missed me. (I missed her too)
