One of my favorite babysitting moments was helping a little one overcome their bedtime jitters. We’d read a story every night, but one evening, they just couldn’t settle down. So, we built a ‘sleepy fort’ together using pillows and blankets, and I pretended we were on a magical camping trip under the stars. We talked about fun dreams and made up silly bedtime stories until they felt calm and ready to sleep. Moments like these remind me how much I love helping kids feel safe and comfortable—seeing them smile and relax is the best part!
