More About Me
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is building a trusting and nurturing relationship with both the child and the family. Children thrive when they feel safe, seen, and supported, so I believe it’s essential to be patient, reliable, and genuinely present in their lives. A great nanny not only helps with routines and daily care, but also encourages learning, emotional growth, and independence. It’s a role that combines responsibility, love, and understanding, and I always aim to become someone the children feel comfortable with and the parents can count on without worry.
My experience with special needs children...
I have hands-on experience working with children with special needs, including those with autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, sensory challenges, and other developmental or behavioral differences. Through my work as a swim instructor and child-care provider, I have learned to adapt activities, use clear and patient communication, and create a calm, supportive environment. I understand the importance of consistency, positive reinforcement, and building trust to help each child feel confident and understood. I am committed to meeting children where they are and supporting their growth, comfort, and joy in daily routines.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment was when a little girl I’d been working with for several months finally swam across the pool on her own. She had been extremely nervous and afraid of going underwater, but with patience, gentle encouragement, and celebrating every small win, she slowly built confidence. The day she let go of the wall and swam all the way to me with a huge smile on her face, she yelled, “I did it all by myself!” That moment reminded me why I love working with children , seeing their growth, cheering on their courage, and being part of the moments that make them proud of themselves.

Babysitter Available in Raleigh, NC: Julia G.
I'm in college for Art Education and Psychology degrees to become an art therapist for children. I've worked in a nursery of children 10 months to 5 years old for 2.5 years and have been babysitting since I was 12. I love working with children and finding fun activities to do with the kids. I'm not very athletic, but I am completely willing to take the kids on walks and play games of tag. I am very artistic and will come up with or bring crafts for the kids and I to do.
Babysitter Available in Raleigh, NC: Messiah M.
My name is Messiah Adams the reason I want to be a nanny is because I feel like I have a strong connection with kids. Growing up I lived with my four siblings which I had to take care of them sometimes. I am a pretty fun guy I like to play video games, sometimes cook and play sports. That pretty much sums me up as a person.
