A little bit about me

Hello! My name is Chelsea! I recently moved to Alabama from Indiana. I am 23 years old. I have worked with individuals with disabilities, of all ages, since I was 16. I have worked as a nanny for a few different families over the years, in-between my school schedule. I worked with one family for a summer that had two children with autism and we had so much fun every day! I have also nannied for a family that had three little girls under the age of 5. I have looked after children in my family for years. I have a lot of experience with infants and young children. I worked as a camp counselor at a camp for children with disabilities for a few months as well. I have a high school diploma, college experience, and my CPR certification. I am also Wilderness First Responder certified. Unfortunately, my first-aid certification is currently expired. I am looking for full-time and, hopefully, long-term employment as working with children is a passion of mine.

Through a few of my college classes I worked with children with disabilities and helped to develop individualized therapy programs.

Playing board games and video games, going to parks, building and creating things, and playing games and sports outside.

Being able to be a good influence in the life of a child. I love feeling like I'm bringing joy to the lives of others and making a difference.

My experience with special needs children...

I worked at a summer camp for individuals with special needs. I have nannied for a family that had children with autism. I worked with children with disabilities for 2 years through my college courses. I also volunteered at a therapeutic horse stable and worked with the children there who were taking lessons.
