What matters to me most, is making sure the children are safe and have fun. Part of being a babysitter is to interact with the children and play with them, I feel not many babysitters do that anymore, so I see it as a very important thing.
My experience with special needs children...
I have not cared for special needs children on my own but I have helped out with my mother who was a special needs teacher for a bit with her students, so I have some experience but I would not say I am comfortable watching over a special needs child on my own.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite memories I have is when I was watching my younger cousin and we made a fort and played a make believe fantasy game. I think make up games are important for kids imagination and they are always fun games to play.
