I took 2 years of Childcare classes when I was in high school, and during both of those years, I was honored to have spent time with KinderCare and a local church's daycare volunteering with the children as an assistant teacher.

I love playing games with the kids I care for - be they sports, board games, or silly games that the kids make up on the fly. I also enjoy bringing arts and crafts, as well as theater-like play into my sitting experiences to allow children every outlet for their emotions and creativity.

When I was quite a bit younger than I am now, perhaps around 10-11 years old, I was babysitting a little girl (around 1 at the time) who decided to wander off into her room and into her closet full of stuffed animals.
Which she very quickly tricked me into because she "needed help finding (stuffy's name here)" and I, of course, went to help. She closed me in and somehow managed to barricade the door.
I was stuck for about 30 minutes before someone happened to come home - and luckily, the little one had stayed put, thinking it was very funny!
