I’ve been a nanny for 4 years, worked for 3 families, and loved every minute of it!! I worked for a family in Greenville, SC, for over 2 years, and two families in Hickory so far.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love the Montessori approach to child development and love open ended play either inside or outside! I can get creative in my lessons with toys, however I love to utilize items from around the house!! Whatever we do, you can bet we’ll be noisy and laughing!

The most important part about being a nanny...

I feel like everything is important, but having the patience to deal with the highs and lows of babyhood, toddlerhood, and beyond’s emotions is probably most important. Patience and resilience are my two most valuable skills I’ve learned over the years- making me a great fit for anyone who feels like they may be struggling with the load of childcare.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment is the first time the little boy I cared for for over 2 years said my real name after 18 months of him calling me something in gibberish. It happened right before Christmas and we were making Grinch cookies, so I told him in a Grinch voice that he can’t call me my real name because that would mean he grew up!! I cried a little for sure!
