More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I worked as a CNA at Family Medicine in Mount Pleasant. We had children of all ages come in and I was one who would be asked to come in with kids because I was good at helping calm the children when they needed shots. Then afterwards we would get stickers or prizes!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love going out and doing activities. For example going to a park, library, movies, pool, or whatever is open at the time. I also love doing whatever activities the children like.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny for me if helping the parents in any way shape or form. Coming from a young adult that grew up with younger siblings I completely understand that the kids are not the only thing you need help with. Laundry, dishes, cleaning rooms, vacuuming and moping are another struggle with kids. If there is any house work that needs done do not hesitate to ask. My mom cleaned house growing up so I know how much it means to parents to have a clean house.

My experience with special needs children...

I’ve only worked with one special needs child. My little brother has Down syndrome and although it may affect him in some ways more than another, he is still one of the happiest kids I’ve met. He learned most of his motor skills late and is still working on talking but what I’ve learned with him is patience and not over reacting are key. They respond by how you respond. So if he acts out staying calm rather than getting upset is more than likely to work better.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite experience was when I hadn’t babysat in a while and when I finally did the kids came running up to me screaming “Chloe!” And they gave me huge hugs and didn’t want me to leave.
