Hi I'm Chloe! I am a student at Saint Joseph's College of Maine and also play field hockey there! My caring nature and kind, energetic personality makes it easy for me to quickly connect with kids. I enjoy all sorts of activities from adventures outside to quiet reading and crafts! I love all kinds of animals, I am currently majoring in medical biology for pre veterinary medicine! Being home for the summer allows me to have a flexible schedule for last minute changes or needs. I also have my own car, enjoy doing housework, and enjoy cooking! One thing I love doing with kids who are interested is having them help out with small chores and cooking. It helps them feel involved and closer to me! With my past job experiences I am used to handling and staying calm in quick changes and stressful situations. I love having a schedule but I also love being more "go with the flow"! I am a big people person and enjoy just being in the company of others, especially kids!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have been a baby sitter for around 5 years now. I started with just my younger cousins and one I knew I liked it I branched out to other families! During my senior year of high school I was a teachers helper in a first grade classroom. During that I also helped in the kindergarten and first grade special education rooms!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy doing lots of different activities with kids. A lot of the time I find the kids like to lead the activities and games which I enjoy! Some outdoor activities I love are playing in the snow, sprinklers, drawing with chalk, going on walks, and riding bikes/ scooters! Some indoor activities I love are coloring/ crafts, making up dances, and playing with the kids toys with them!

The most important part about being a nanny...

I believe the most important part of being a nanny is being responsible. Responsibility comes in many different shapes and sizes. A nanny is not only responsible for the health, safety, and wellbeing of the child but also keeping them entertained and engaged. Planning activities and keeping everything in check while still being flexible with kids takes a lot of responsibility. Nanny have to know exactly what to do and when to do it in many different situations!

My experience with special needs children...

I do not have a lot of experience with children with special needs. I have around a year of supervised ed tech work in kindergarten and first grade special education classrooms. I myself struggle with anxiety and ADHD so I have learned skills and strategies to cops with various situations. I am comfortable with my skills and taking on the responsibility of any child!

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moment with kids was introducing one to my puppy when I first got her. The kid lived close to my home and we were good family friends so we took a bike ride over to my house to meet the puppy. Watching his face light up with joy and wonder while playing with her was amazing!
