I ran a 5 star childcare business was for 20 yrs in MA at 69 Carter Dr North Fram, MA 01701 from 6 am- 6 pm for 2 infants under two and 4 toddlers 2-5

I ran a church childcare program for 300 families for infants thru teens- curriculum, crafts, performances, allergy & food safety in Framingham, MA
I lastly was a nanny for a pediatric surgeon in Dover, MA. for her two young girls and her infant son for several years

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love reading books, art & craft projects, singing, drawing, imaginary play, I have been a dragon to a princess to a mermaid!! Lol
I love animals & nature and look for fun things in this arena!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Is that the children feel Seen. Heard Loved & know no what they do or don’t do—I remain calm and gentle . That I always try to keep my word /promises to them! I make sure to tell them often they are so loved by their mommy & daddy! I tell them the truth and practice doing something’s wrong and ask them to forgive me! And Not doing something right , we’ll mistakes help you learn! And have a good heart when others make a mistake to them!

My experience with special needs children...

My friend has an autistic son who is now 21 yrs old.
I was one of the few people-adults- that he liked to be around or have care/support him! For many years.
I have cared for an infant that wasn’t thriving that needed tubes for feeding. That child in my care thrived (and is now a preteen! ). The drs were very pleased.
I have had children with slow development issues that loved coming to be with me in my care.
I have cared for children with ADHD & numerous conditions- mentally and physically even in a wheel chair.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I have a calm reassuring manner and imagination that helped them overcome their fears!
One funny story is: I had just moved into a new neighborhood where I started my Childcare which I then went on for 20 years, when one of the new neighbours came to see me as I was caring for one of the Neighbor children a young one, she put her hands on my cheeks and looked at me and said, “ daddy loves you! Daddy loves to give you a bath!” the Neighbor quickly said well nice to meet you I have to go feeling very uncomfortable! LOL. When I explained the situation to the child’s mother, she laughed and said…… I’ve always held her up to the mirror and say look at YOU there YOU are! I think she thinks it’s her name! I will explain to the Neighbor! LOL. Another funny story is that the children thought my husband was my father! He was the one who always bought the snacks and one day they said oh please ask your daddy if he can buy those special cookies! I GET INVITED TO SO MANY BDAY PARTIES!! Yea!
