I worked hard with one girl who was 2-3 and wasn’t really talking. I researched how to go about teaching her and making her feel comfortable talking. We would go to the farm and look at animals and say their names and what sounds they made. I’d sing along to song a in the car, I used sign language, looked over and over through books with pictures and their names. One day in the car we listened to “meet me in the middle” and she started singing out loud! After that she just opened up and was speaking all the time! I was happy to be apart of helping her to reach this milestone.
