I am a minister in training and a youth leader at Broadway United Methodist Church. I have a passion for arts and crafts, as well as theatrical and musical arts, along with various other hobbies. My background includes experience in psychology, elder care, pediatric care, and dietary practices. Currently, I am working toward becoming certified in adult and pediatric (child and baby) first aid/CPR/AED.

I have many nieces and nephews and love seeing the world through their eyes. Whether it's engaging their imaginations or simply playing tic-tac-toe, I cherish those moments.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have been involved with my church's nursery for 9 years as a volunteer and have worked there for 1 year. My family has a history of running a daycare, and I have assisted in that capacity. I support the Department of Human Services (DHS) and Child Protective Services (CPS) by supervising parents and helping them implement proper childcare practices. Although I am not currently certified in CPR, I have taken several classes in CPR and medical assistance and am in the process of obtaining certification.

I truly enjoy creating a fun, safe, and engaging environment for children where they can feel comfortable being themselves. I love planning playful activities like arts and crafts, storytelling, music, and imaginative games that keep kids entertained while also encouraging creativity and learning. Whether we’re building blanket forts, having mini dance parties, or diving into a good story, I enjoy making everyday moments feel special.

I also value structure and care, making sure children feel supported, heard, and safe at all times. I’m attentive to routines, patient in handling challenges, and always aim to bring a calm, positive energy into the home. With my background in faith and community, I naturally incorporate kindness, encouragement, and respect into how I interact with children.

Above all, I strive to be someone both kids and parents can trust—creating a warm, joyful space where children can grow, feel secure, and have fun.

I have meaningful experience working with children with special needs through both my church and personal life. I’ve supported children of varying abilities and have grown to appreciate the unique ways they think, communicate, and experience the world. I enjoy meeting each child where they are and helping them feel comfortable, understood, and included.

With my background in psychology and child development, I bring patience, flexibility, and creativity to my care. I’m comfortable adapting activities, adjusting routines, and using thoughtful communication to best support each child’s needs.

Growing up with neurodivergent family members has also given me a deeper, personal understanding of how individualized care can be. I strive to create a calm, supportive, and positive environment where every child feels safe, valued, and able to thrive.
