In high school I took a healthcare and childcare pathway that taught me many valuable skills. Currently, I babysit my 5mo old niece, and I’m taking online pre-nursing courses.

I’m a kid at heart, so there are many activities I enjoy doing with children that are safe and fun! For instance: coloring, dress-up, race cars, building forts, watching child targeted movies, playing outdoors, and many more! Children have a BIG imagination, and catering to their imagination helps build confidence, creativeness, boundaries, and so much more!

I think 100% the most important part about being a nanny is safety. Children are typically very accident prone. No matter how well you watch the kids, sometimes accidents still happen. What you do after there is an accident is what matters. Another key point would be communicating with the parents. I always make sure I stick to what the parents want, and give them updates throughout the day with how their child is doing.

My favorite memory was when I was watching my nephew, and he told me I was his favorite aunt. It’s a sweet, cherish able memory for me. I never aim to be a favorite with kids. My aim is to make them feel safe and cared for, all children deserve this.
