I am First Aid certified, adult and infant/child CPR certified, SIDS trained, as a result of being an LPN. I I am daycare certified through previous daycare I worked at which takes 400 work hrs and Care Courses that needed to be passed in order to be achieved. I also have my CDA in teaching.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Infants- sensory activities using touch, sight, and hearing. Reading books to them. Going outside for walks.
Toddlers- sensory activities, learning ABCs, counting to 10, colors. Starting to teach them the days of the week and the months of the year. Reading books to them and taking them outside to play.
4-5- building on their ABCs by writing, which they would have touched on as toddlers. Counting higher. Activities and curriculum surrounding counting, ABCs, the weather, doing projects as another way to learn.
School-age children- making sure their homework is done. Doing activities around what they are learning in school.
In each age group, there are always opportunities to take little day trips to learn new things.
I also love to teach children as they get a little older how to cook and how to do every day tasks.
