My hands-on, formal experience includes a year as an AmeriCorps reading specialist working with third graders, as well providing full-time summer nannying for three 8-9 year old boys. My other experiences include volunteering during my last year of High School every Sunday in a Montessori-style church atrium assisting 3-4 year-olds, and for 1 month summer church based camps every summer for five years, working with groups of children from 4-11 years of age. Currently, I help care for an 11-year-old girl and twin boys with my main task of transporting their girl to evening activities and spending time with her after school.
