I babysit for many houses in my neighborhood and for a lot of healthcare professionals. I am experienced with all ages of children and have cared for a couple of autistic children.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
When I am babysitting I try not to sit in the house all day so I will take them outside to play or to the park if there is one nearby. In the house board games, reading books, and playing with toys are all things I like to use. to keep them occupied and happy.
My experience with special needs children...
I have taken care of two autistic children both of which I had no issues with. I was able to take care of them and handle meltdowns calmly, and was able to make them feel safe while I was in the house so they wouldn’t be stressed out or overwhelmed by a new person.
