My experience with special needs children...
I was raised with an autistic cousin whom i would often calm down and talk to when nobody else would, never much a babysitter to him, but my heart is extra full for kiddos who are wrongly misunderstood.

After a while, your presence becomes expected, and the anticipation kiddos have that explodes when you walk in the door to start caring for them puts a smile on my face! Nothing better than a kid excited to be cared for!
