My childcare experience comes primarily from working with children through the YMCA, where I cared for infants, toddlers, and young children. I have experience with diaper changing, bottle feeding, supervising play, and helping children stay safe, engaged, and comfortable. I've also provided childcare for family friends and enjoy creating a positive and fun environment for kids while ensuring parents can feel confident their children are in good hands.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy a variety of age-appropriate activities with children, depending on their interests and age. Indoors, I enjoy reading stories, arts and crafts, coloring, puzzles, board games, imaginative play, building with blocks or LEGOs, and helping with educational activities. I also enjoy music, dancing, and creative games that encourage children to use their imagination.

Outdoors, I enjoy playground visits, nature walks, scavenger hunts, sidewalk chalk, ball games, bubbles, and other active play that helps children stay engaged and have fun. My goal is to create a safe, positive, and enjoyable environment where children can learn, explore, and be themselves.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite childcare memories comes from my time at the YMCA. There was a one-year-old who was constantly on the move. If you looked away for what felt like half a second, he was already off on his next adventure.

One day, I noticed he had made a break for the gate and was waddling away at what seemed like toddler Mach 5. The moment I saw him, I took off running and scooped him up before he could get very far. Thankfully, he thought the whole thing was hilarious and was all smiles while I carried him back.

It was one of those moments that perfectly captured toddler energy curious, fearless, and determined to explore absolutely everything. Looking back, it still makes me laugh and reminds me how important it is to stay attentive while also appreciating the funny moments kids create every day.
