Activities I enjoy doing with children are going to the park, riding bikes, playing catch, hopscotch, basketball, the pool, and soccer! Arts and crafts such as painting and making slime are great for rainy and cold days. At the end of the day, it’s what the child wants to do-I’ll enjoy!

The most important part of being a nanny is building a strong, trusting relationship with the children and their families. This involves not only providing safe and nurturing care but also understanding the individual needs of each child, offering emotional support, and creating a positive, supportive environment for their growth and development. My experience with special needs children is vast due to every job having a children in my class being on the spectrum.

The most important part about being a nanny...

There are so many moments in childcare that are priceless! One that sticks with me is one time my entire class built this elaborate race track throughout the entire classroom weaving into the hall that included a zoo, people, aquarium, stop signs, and rail road tracks. All to surprise a boy who comes in with a toy car from home who was a new student at the time. It showed me the true definition of kindness and that even though I’m their teacher, they teach me something new every day.
