I have a year and a half of experience working in childcare, both through Teaching Fellows and providing nanny services. In my current position, I tutor small groups of one to six students at a time in the areas of Math, English, and Spelling. Other than teaching academics, I absolutely love exploring art with kids. Some of my favorite art activities have been painting rocks, creating tie-dye shirts, making nature collages, and much more. I enjoy encouraging children to explore their creativity in fun and educational ways.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Among the many memorable moments I've had, one of my favorites was teaching a boy in my care how to tie his shoes. He was so determined to learn and we spent over 30 minutes practicing together. Seeing how excited he was when he finally got the hang out of was a moment to remember.
