A little bit about me

I’m a warm, dependable caregiver with a genuine love for working with children. Over the past 6 years, I’ve cared for kids of all ages as a babysitter, and for the past 5 years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting children with special needs as a registered behavioral therapist. I strive to create a safe, fun, and nurturing environment where children feel supported and understood. I’m especially passionate about child development, learning through play, and forming meaningful connections with both kids and their families. I’m excited for the opportunity to grow with a family—whether that’s across the country or around the world—as part of a live-in au pair experience.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), I love engaging in child-led play. I find joy in nearly any activity, especially when it brings happiness to the children or teens I’m working with. I particularly enjoy outdoor activities like hiking, swimming, or even something as simple as jumping on a trampoline. I’m also very creative, so arts and crafts are right up my alley. In addition to fun, I value teaching life skills, whether it’s potty training or learning household tasks like cooking. I strive to create experiences that are both meaningful and enjoyable for the children in my care.

My experience with special needs children...

When it comes to working with children with special needs, I have a wide range of experience. I’ve worked one on one with children and teens in both clinical and in home settings. The individuals I’ve supported have included nonverbal children, those who use communication devices, children who engage in aggressive behaviors, and those who simply benefit from a little more structure and support. In each of these situations, I’ve provided behavioral therapy under the supervision of a licensed therapist, supporting both the child and their family. Whether it’s helping build coping skills, creating more structure in daily routines, or simply offering extra support, I’ve truly enjoyed every moment of the work.

Xavier R. - Seeking Work in Chattanooga

Live-In Full-Time Child Care Provider Available in Chattanooga, TN: Xavier R.

Greetings, My name is Xavier and I am a person that understands youth on a youthful level due to my high sense of empathy. I worked as a teacher at Antilles School in the Virgin Islands while also helping young athletes become their best self. I’m not perfect but I am real. I listen more than I speak which is a plus when understanding children. One of my favorite verses in the Bible says “unless we become like children again, we cannot inherit the kingdom of heaven.” Children didn’t come in this world to be controlled, they came here to remind us to free our souls. Peace to everyone.

Skylar B. - Seeking Work in Chattanooga

Part-Time Nanny Available in Chattanooga, TN: Skylar B.

Hi! I’m Skylar — a 27-year-old caregiver with a big heart for kids of all ages.
I just moved to Chattanooga, TN in August and am excited to connect with local families!

My love for childcare began with my nieces and nephews and grew into professional experience over the past two years. I’ve worked with children ages 4–5 with autism and other developmental delays at St. Nicholas Center for Children, and more recently with K–5th graders at an after-school program. I’ve also nannied for my sister and am CPR and medication administration certified.

Since my husband will be using our truck for school in Georgia, I’m ideally looking for nanny opportunities near Passenger St., where I’ll be living, and can walk or take public transportation.

Looking forward to meeting a great family!
