More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have done volunteer work for the teachers at my local school watching their children while they work and have meetings. In the past I often volunteered to teach the students about fire prevention and safety, stranger danger/sneaky people, and art classes.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Indoor: Painting/Drawing, Schema Development, Wii, Movies, Learning activities, and Reading.
Outdoor: Going to the park, Hiking, Sports, I Spy, Science and biology activities, mental and physical development activities.

(Yoga and Meditation if they are interested.) This helps develop emotional regulation, healthy coping skills, and emotional intelligence.

The most important part about being a nanny...

It's important to have people you can trust because it takes a community to raise children in my opinion. I am passionate about this position because it allows the child to grow up in an environment where they feel safe. Also this allows the parent to rest their mind and worries about the child during their time away.

My experience with special needs children...

•One of my childhood best friends had autism and handicapped. (So I know what this can look like.) 💜
•My brother has autism.
•I know many children with learning disorders and ADHD.
•I personally know and experienced many children with mental illness. (Usually due to severe neglect.)
•I have some experience with sexually, mentally, emotionally, and physically abused children.
•I have been educating myself the past 3 years about childhood trauma, early childhood development, and psychology.

I am open to learning anything new that may be needed for this position.

The most important part about being a nanny...

•Having the opportunity to see children use their new skills I've taught them.
