More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have eight years of hands-on experience working in a daycare facility, where I primarily focused on the infant room. During my time there, I developed a strong understanding of child development and tailored my approach to meet the individual needs of each child. This role involved creating a safe, nurturing environment where children could explore, learn, and grow. I engaged the children in age-appropriate activities, including arts and crafts, storytime, and outdoor play, all while ensuring their safety and well-being.
In addition to my daycare experience, I also have a background in babysitting during my younger years. This included caring for children of various ages, providing supervision, and organizing activities to keep them entertained. These early experiences allowed me to build strong communication skills, understand the importance of patience, and establish trust with both children and their parents.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I truly enjoy engaging children in a variety of fun and educational activities. Some of my favorite activities include arts and crafts, where we can create unique projects with different materials, and outdoor play, such as hiking or biking in the park. Storytime is another cherished activity, as it allows us to connect through books and even act out the stories together.
I also love cooking and baking, involving kids in making simple recipes like cookies or homemade pizzas. Science experiments, such as making slime or vinegar volcanoes, spark curiosity and excitement. Playing games, whether board games or outdoor sports, fosters teamwork and friendly competition.

The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is building a strong, trusting relationship with the children and their families. This foundation of trust is essential for creating a safe and healthy environment where children can thrive.
As a nanny, I believe it is crucial to understand each child’s unique personality, interests, and developmental needs. This allows me to provide tailored care and support that fosters their growth, learning, and emotional well-being.
Additionally, communication with parents is key. Keeping them informed about their child’s daily activities, progress, and any concerns fosters a collaborative approach to parenting and ensures everyone is on the same page regarding the child’s development.
Ultimately, being a nanny is not just about providing care; it’s about being a positive influence in a child's life, encouraging their curiosity and creativity, and helping them navigate their early years with love, patience, and guidance.

My experience with special needs children...
I have eight years of extensive experience working in a daycare facility, specializing primarily in the care of children aged 6 weeks to 18 months. During this time, I focused on creating a safe and nurturing environment that supports the developmental needs of infants and young toddlers. My responsibilities included engaging children in various age-appropriate activities, such as sensory play, music, and storytelling, which fostered their cognitive and motor skills.
While I do not have formal experience with special needs or specific certifications, my extensive background in early childhood education has provided me with a strong foundation in understanding the developmental milestones of infants and toddlers. I am committed to building trusting relationships with both children and their families, ensuring open communication and collaboration to support each child's growth.

The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite moments as a nanny happened during a sunny afternoon at the local park. I was caring for a curious little toddler named Emily, who was always eager to explore her surroundings. On that particular day, we had packed a picnic, and after enjoying some snacks, Emily spotted a butterfly fluttering by.
With wide eyes and a giggle, she pointed towards the butterfly and exclaimed, “Look, it’s flying like me!” Inspired by her excitement, I suggested we play a game of “fly like butterflies.” We both began to stretch our arms out and twirl around, pretending to flutter in the breeze. Emily’s laughter filled the air as she chased after the butterfly, imitating its graceful movements.
Watching her joy and imagination come to life was truly heartwarming. It reminded me of the importance of savoring simple moments and finding wonder in everyday experiences.
