"She was very professional and personable. The way she worked with my daughter to get her potty trained early was a life saver. She taught her ABC’s, numbers, and basic colors, and helped her to walk sooner than we had expected. My daughter never had a rash, her bottles were always clean and she was always a happy baby when I left and returned. Would definitely recommend her to any family in need of help."

More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have worked in two daycares, have cared for many relatives children’s, neighbors, and have some experience working with special needs children. Mostly with babies and children in after care. I also have insomnia since I became a mom years ago, so night nurse hours are not a problem if needed.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Indoors, I love to let the children include me in what they like to do first, and then add in a few ideas of my own. Depending on the age I like to bring some old classics that kids still enjoy, like card games, board games, talent shows and performances if they are into it. I never like to be too cheesy but if they are open to it, I love to get kids out of their normal character and see that goofy kid get to come out. My daughter’s friends literally come to sleep overs and never want to leave because I get in the mix and try to make it a good time. My daughter enjoys that her friends think her mom is cool and fun with her friends. Safety is always first, but any activities we can do inside or out to keep everyone stimulated and interested in new things is always my main goal. Electronics have taken over our worlds, so it feels good to be able to get kids focused on other things as well.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Being able to do what I think God wanted me to do. I am a proud momma bear and very overprotective of my kid and all kids. I’ve seen some horrible things happen to kids by adults that they should never have to experience in life. If you are paying someone or not, a child is a child and should be safe in the hands of anyone you entrust them to. The absolute most important thing to me is your child’s safety. That means if they are with me, you will never have to worry about me harming them in any way. I do not tolerate any abuse of kids so if I see it, I will speak up as well. If I am looking after your kids, they become an extension of my own. The only thing you might have to worry about with me is them getting too attached. Most don’t mind, but I have come across a family and baby girl got a little too attached. It made pick ups a little harder for the mom because her little girl would not calm down after leaving. It broke my heart every time, but it let me know I was doing my best.
My experience with special needs children...
As an adult, I have not worked with any special needs children, but I have always been surrounded by them. I have special needs family members ranging from Autism, to DS. Caring for them absolutely takes a village, and getting to see a smile on their face, or see them do something new or reach a milestone, it opens your heart very much. I think my spirit just connects with all children because of their innocence. They are all amazing and beautiful if you take time to get to know them.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Being called the baby whisperer has been my greatest accomplishment in my years as a Childcare professional, and just a mom and friend. Something about babies and me, once they are in my arms, it’s nap time lol. I don’t know why and it used to make me feel boring to them, but I learned to take it as a compliment now, that I might just make them feel safe and cozy enough doze off where they are. It’s absolutely adorable and I love it.
