Working at a childcare center has allowed me to experience many diversities. Some of these have included ADD, ADHD, and autism. I appreciate these experiences, as they have allowed me to broaden my understanding and capabilities. There’s always room to grow and I look forward to more diversity.
The most important part about being a nanny...
After caring for a 2 year old for 10 months, learning new social, educational, and life skills together, they spelled their name aloud for me. This moment was so special for many reasons. From the time I met them, I admired their brightness, intelligence, mannerisms, and much more. This pushed me to work hard to teach them as much as I could so that they could reach their full potential in life. The two of us practiced the understanding of the alphabet, letter recognition, letter pronunciation amongst other things. The confident smile on their face while spelling their name was something I could see 1,000 over again.
