I think the most important part of being a nanny is to have a nurturing spirit and be compassionate. Children have amazing imagination; so one time I was babysitting a friend’s son and he wanted to play pirate. I was the person who needed to be saved, we built a pretend walk the plank with a chair and blanket. He walked the plank and he fell on a big pile of blankets. It was so funny because he played the part so well!! I felt like I was watching a cartoon.
