Children have lots of energy so if they want to go outside we can have some chalk fun, blow bubbles, paint rocks, jump rope, or just playing hide and go seek.

I think the most important part of being a nanny is to have a nurturing spirit and be compassionate. I’m with children all day and it’s important to make sure I’m not getting too stressed to the point where I’m taking my anger out on the children. We are responsible for supporting and encouraging children.

Children have amazing imagination; so one time I was babysitting a friend’s son and he wanted to play pirate. I was the person who needed to be saved, we built a pretend walk the plank with a chair and blanket. He walked the plank and he fell on a big pile of blankets. It was so funny because he played the part so well!! I felt like I was watching a cartoon.
