I am currently an assistant teacher at a local daycare center. I’ve also babysat long term for a family in the past from when their son was 8 months until 3 1/2 years old. Additionally, I volunteer at many after school programs for my local elementary school helping tutor kids and keep them entertained in their aftercare programs!

My favorite moment actually comes from my time as a daycare teacher! My center was having a moving up ceremony for all the kids and some of the parents brought gifts for the teachers. At the end of the ceremony, one of my fireflies(which is our 18 month to 24 month olds) handed me a bouquet of flowers. I was almost brought to tears once I was home! Children truly are such the sweetest and it reminded me of why I want to pursue ECE.
