A little bit about me

Hello! My name is Dalaina and I have been babysitting since I was about 12 years old. I am 18 about to turn 19 and I have a ton of experience with all ages, genders, and ethnicitys of children. I grew up on a military base and so I have always been surrounded with children. I work with special needs students in the best buddies program at Western Kentucky University and I will work with your child if they are special needs. I am very interactive with the kids I babysit. I like to engage in what they’re interested in and just having fun! I am always making games out of things that need to be done to keep the kids entertained as well as helping out you as the parent. For example: chores, sometimes I’ll suggest a reward if chores or done or I’ll help them out if they’re trying to get the job done. The most important part about being a nanny...

What matters to me the most about being a nanny is treating the kids I babysit like my own. I do not have kids and I do not mean treating them as my own by doing what the parents does not want. I mean protecting them and making sure they are safe and well cared for to the full extent. I always Abide by the parents rules and will contact them if I have any questions.

My experience with special needs children...

I was a peer mentor for special needs students and am now apart of the best buddies program offered at WKU.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moment was when I took three boys I was nannying for over the summer to tiebreaker in Hopkinsville and they were overjoyed and just watching them have a blast was a beautiful moment.
