A little bit about me

I'm a mom of three beautiful adult daughters and have two grandsons ages 14 and 2. I have been active and engaged with both grandsons. My passion in life is children, I love spending time with kids and babies and seeing the world through their eyes. I enjoy helping kids learn new age appropriate skills and nothing brings me more joy than watching a child learn or experience something new for the first time!

"Currently employed by us -military family relocating June 25 Dana has been working for us since October 2023 when my baby was 4 months old. Dana is an integral part and perfect fit to our family. Not only were we first time parents, but new to the area and have no local family or friends, which was especially challenging. Dana swooped in and helped us with everything, from knowing what to expect with the baby to cooking us (and baby) dinner, cleaning the house, and handling our crazy pets. Dana is ALWAYS on time (at least 5 minutes early) and reliable, which in the current climate is hard to find. Dana has gone above and beyond for my family and is willing to drop anything to come help. For example, we were out of town and boarded our dogs but they ran out of food; Dana drove to our house, got them food and took it to the dogs. She loves our babies like they are her own. She has taught my daughter (and me) so much, helping her grow and learn. Dana is a catch!"

"I am so grateful to have found Dana. She has truly been a godsend for our family. She has helped my son tremendously with walking, eating, and talking. She is an incredible cook and makes home cooked delicious and nutritious meals for our entire family. She even meal preps for us on Friday so we can have meals for the weekend. She vacuums and mops my house daily. She always ensure my sons diaper is dry and his clothes are changed if they get dirty. She is literally the best person for my son and he loves her dearly. We are sadly moving out of state and I wish I could take her with me. She also agreed to take care of my son and his friend so she is great with taking care of multiple babies at the same time as well. We love Miss Dana and are so thankful for her!"

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have been a loving Mimi for 14 years and career nanny and house manager for the last 4 years. I have worked for my current family since October 2023; they are military and will be relocating in June 2025. My current family has an 18-month-old and 1 month old (as of Feb 2025). In this role I am responsible for the child's safety and well being, teaching the girls age appropriate skills and activities, transporting them to and from activities such as Little Gym, story time, play dates, and doctors appointments as needed. One of my favorite memories with my current family is watching the baby grow from four months to now and seeing her accomplish all the baby milestones (sitting up, crawling, walking, starting solids, etc). In this role, I mentored the first time parents on expectations and guided them through the first years.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love being outside so like to take kids to do outdoor activities, whether it's playing in the backyard, teaching them to swim, walking around the neighborhood, or exploring a new playground. I am not afraid to bundle up or sweat it out to ensure the children get some fresh air.

In my current role, I have loved taking my baby to the Little Gym and watching her skills progress! We also enjoy going to local parks/playgrounds, shopping, story time at the library, spending time at the neighborhood pool, walking around the neighborhood, and learning new words/animals.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My primary goal as a nanny is to ensure the children feel safe, loved, and know how they are special and unique.

My experience with special needs children...

I do not have direct experience with special needs children and have not been trained in this specific type of care.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moment as a Mimi was teaching my grandson how to fish when at the age of 4.

My favorite moment as a nanny is being greeted by the babies when I arrive in the morning and she comes running to me yelling "Hiiii!" so excited to give me a hug and start the day.
