My experience with special needs children...
I have a special needs son, who is now 22 years old.
He was diagnosed @ 3/12 years old with Autism, high functioning. I took him to therapy 3-4 times a week. Therapy included:
Physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and a play group with kids his age that parallel play. he attended school in a special needs class.
