I have been given the opportunity to work with children and families in the Institute for Child Development Family & Relations site which is part of an internship at California State University, San Bernardino. My work experience fits the hands-on skills and practices I have working with children and guiding a positive child-parent relationship. I have three years of experience working as a Teacher Aide in various preschools and daycare settings, supporting the creation of a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children. I assist with daily routines and classroom activities while promoting positive behavior and early childhood development.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy engaging children in both indoor and outdoor activities that support their development and creativity. Some examples of indoor activities I like working with are developmental toys such as sorting dinosaurs, cars, and blocks by color or shape to encourage fine motor skills and early learning. In contrast, some examples of outdoor activities I enjoy are active play like blowing bubbles, hopping and movement games, and riding tricycles, which help children build coordination, confidence, and social skills while having fun.
