A little bit about me

Hello. My name is Danielle, I'm twenty seven years old and I've been working with kids pretty much my whole adult life. I was a nanny of twin boys early after my high school graduation in Florida. I took care of the boys from ages 18 months to almost 5 years old when they started school full time. Shortly after that, I moved back to Iowa and got into Daycare. I was a lead Teacher in the 3's room for 2 years before leaving and joining the Tanager team. Tanager is a treatment facility for kiddos between ages 7 and 17 that have severe trauma. I worked as an Assistant Cottage Supervisor for a year and a half before I ran into some of my own mental health struggles. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Tanager learning about trauma in the brain and how that effects kids in the early years of life to adulthood. I made the choice to leave for my own mental health and took my knowledge back to the daycare setting where I currently reside as a lead Teacher is the 2/3's room.
