More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
From [phone number hidden] I worked at a State run group home
(Chandler Gilbert ARC)
mainly working with children with disabilities but not all of them were special needs
I would help them with homework, making meals, administering their medications, housekeeping bodily hygiene or sit and play their favorite games with them
( Pokemon cards, video games/ whatever they're interested in)
what I enjoyed the most along with probably having the biggest impact is to try to get them thinking about the future and would have them write out a list of some goals, dreams or achievements they wish to accomplish both short-term and long-term and then have them come up with some ideas on how to achieve it usually in the form of a rough outline or "game plan" on how to accomplish it.
I love to inspire them giving them a sense determination to become whatever it is they wish to do and become in life for this is the land of opportunity abundance and prosperity for those who work for it of course

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Anything from board games to bike rides to cartoons- Pokemon cards whatever their interests are
I see children as tomorrow's future so I like to casually
(when appropriate & warranted)
ask them what it is they wannna do when they're older
such as future career or dream job/car, favorite subject in school/why and all sorts of general (not too deep) questions with some words of encouragement & inspiration for this is the Land of so much opportunity and anything is achievable if they set thier mind to it!
I used to have my clients write down a list of some goals they would like to accomplish within their life or within the next 5 -10-15 years and then woud sit and help them brainstorm some ideas on how to achieve and attain it
i also try not to make it seem like "school work" but rather (at least try to) make it as fun/ entertaining as possible

The most important part about being a nanny...
There are many reasons everything from helping out the busy parents that have to work and make a living to support their families/children
to being a good-positive role model to the youngsters that will one day be running things around here)
for
their minds are very impressionable to whatever is around them
And to be frank there's quite a bit of negativity/destructive behaviors, violence and profanity etc
that they are often subjective to from the video games they play to the stuff on TV or the people they talk and hang with at school or on social media that I personally feel negativity impacts the subconscious/ conscious mind of an undeveloped mind
And without proper guidance can lead to bad outcomes later on in life although I know that's probably wayy overstepping my duties/ responsibilities as a nanny
But basically I'm not in it for the money or any sort of personal gain but just really want to help families that could use a hand and to give my life a sense of purpose
