Hello, my name is Dawn and I am looking for a live-in Nanny/Mother's helper position with a kind family. I am a responsible, genuinely kind, honest, energetic female who adores children and animals. I am very flexible and would be more than happy to help in any way that I can. I have completed three years of nursing school and I am a certified respite care worker, trained in CPR and first aid. Although the majority of my work experience has been caring for the older population, my experience caring for children has been the most rewarding for me. My fondest memories are when my son was young and we spent so many hours playing outside together, making arts and crafts, reading to him and helping him with homework. Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I would like to begin with saying I raised 1 boy and everyday with him was such a pleasure and a gift. He is grown and off to college now but I understand the importance of finding someone just (perfect) to care for you little one's. I was a live-in nanny/ mother's helper for a family on Cape Cod. The single mom of 3 children worked 7 days a week at her business. I was basically in charge of getting the children up, making breakfast, making sure everyone was dressed, clean, made their lunches, got them off to school. Then I would make sure the house was neat, dishes done, beds made, laundry, ran errands, prepared meals etc. Until it was time for them get home from school. I would give them a small snack, help out with homework and prepare dinner. Afterwards depending on each child's routine, I would make sure they had baths/showers and they got their jammies on. So when the mom came home everything was done, cleaned and put away so she could enjoy her time with them.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Since I am very active, I enjoy most sports. The family I took care of on Cape Cod lived on a pond and the kids and I loved to swim and take out their 5 man paddle boat around the lake which was lots of fun. I like to do arts and crafts, puzzles, play video games and board games. Sometimes it's fun to bake cookies and watch a movie.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important thing to me about being a nanny is that the children feel safe and happy and that there is great communication between the parents and the nanny so they don't worry while the children are in my care.
