My classroom treasure chest was filled with items that the child would “picked a gift, gave a gift” to give it to somebody else and explain why. Organically, they chose different classmates. I’d ask them to think about somebody that may not have been chosen in a while. I also loved positive phone calls home in front of the class on my speaker phone. If children enjoy coming to school, they naturally learn. We should all be lifelong learners.
