A little bit about me

Hi! My name is Dea, I’m 19, and caring for children has always been a natural part of my life. I’m the youngest of three daughters, and growing up in a close-knit family gave me plenty of opportunities to help care for my siblings’ children while they worked, ran errands, or enjoyed a night out.

I have experience caring for children from newborns through age 8, including helping with diaper changes, feeding, bath time, keeping little them entertained, and creating a comfortable routine. I especially enjoy getting kids involved in fun, age-appropriate activities like music, dancing, games, reading, crafts, and outdoor play. I’m the type of person who will happily have a full-on dance party with the kids one minute and sit down for story time the next. 😂

I’m energetic, patient, observant, and attentive to the little things. My goal is for parents to feel confident knowing their children are being cared for with genuine patience, love, and respect.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments happened when I used to babysit my nephew and a friend’s daughter on nights when their parents wanted to go out and have some fun. I’d usually bring food for the kids, especially if they hadn’t had dinner yet.

One evening, I had just gotten off work and arrived at their house ready to start babysitting with food in my hand, of course. As soon as I walked in, I heard, “MCDOMINOS!” 😂

I was so confused until I realized that apparently, that was my new name! My nephew had decided to combine two different food franchises because I was always showing up with food for them. Apparently, I had become the official provider of McDomino’s. 😂

It still makes me laugh because it was such a simple, silly moment, but it reminds me why I enjoy caring for kids. They have a way of making even ordinary moments unforgettable ❤️
