In my 11 years of teaching I have always had at least one child who has been diagnosed Autistic. I have always made good connections with these children and make it a point to hone in on how their brain works. I love seeing these children open up and begin to gain confidence and realize that there is nothing wrong with them. Their brains just work a little differently!
