I’m very crafty, so I like to find and execute crafts with paper, glue, paint, etc. I’m currently working on ABC crafts for my 2-year-old granddaughter with a dry erase board, popsicle sticks and a pool noodle. I enjoy going to various parks, the sea center and the bird sanctuary in Lake Jackson.

My experience with special needs children...
I have not had a lot of of experience with special-needs children until recently. Since substitute teaching in schools this year, I have spent most of my time with autistic, down syndrome and other special needs children.

I love, love, love making my grands smile and laugh. I love how their face looks when they finally ‘get’ what we’ve been working on. My proudest moment recently is that I taught my 2-year-old granddaughter the pledge to the American flag. Now when we go on walks, we look for American and Texas flags.
