A little bit about me

I have relocated with my husband to Texas so that we can be closer to our family. My previous career in New York was nursing. I don’t mind pets as we had a small farmstead in NY, and have never met a dog that I dislike. For the past couple of years I have been caring for babies between 3 and 18 months, but I have experience with all age groups. My education was at Mt. St. Mary College in Newburgh, NY where I received my BS. I greatly enjoy being with children and marvel at the process of their development and learning. My contribution to that is two-fold: keeping track of their milestones, and rolling around on the floor with them providing fun educational opportunities disguised as play. In my spare time I enjoy time with family, cooking, baking, reading, and doing many types of crafts.

I hadn’t seen my baby girl charge in a few months and at first she didn’t recognize me. Then I started singing to her and she looked at me with a surprised expression, threw her arms around my neck and gave me the biggest hug ever!!!! I still cry when I think about it.
