I have worked as a social worker for the past 21 years and am seeking a change in career, where I can return to my true passion; caring for children.
I have raised one child of my own to be a successful adult, and have helped numerous families as a social worker. I have worked with children of all ages, children with medical needs, children with developmental needs and children with behavioural needs.
I am calm, patient, have a silly sense of humor and don't take myself too seriously. I love to play and encourage others to play everyday. I love trying out new arts and crafts; anything that encourages creative expression. I also love being outside and know the importance of fresh air, free play, and exploration in nature.
I believe that children thrive when provided with unconditional positive regard accompanied with routine, consistency and clear expectations. I am able to provide these things.
