A little bit about me

I have been in the childcare field for over 40 years. I have worked in a daycare setting with toddlers through Pre-K I also worked as a nanny for a few families when COVID hit and I loved it! I loved having the freedom to do lots of activities with the children especially when it is nice outside. I currently work in a daycare center again in Glen Mills PA but would love to find a full-time nanny position again with an infant, guarantee hours and on the books. I can get recertified in my CPR/First Aid it just expired.I can do light house keeping, meal preparation, children's laundry and arts/crafts activities. I also do weekend babysitting or date nights for a few families. I can give you references upon request. A teacher at EEC for 21 yrs
Babysitting for parents that I know/knew through the daycare I worked at.
Childcare on Sunday mornings at New Ark Church of Christ in Newark DE
Temporary nanny for 6 months with a 3 year old and 6 month old. Then worked for a family for almost a year with a 3 year old and 7 year old. Currently work for a family in the Glen Mills PA area with a 4 year old and 19 months old started in August 2021.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Water play, going for walks, cooking, arts/crafts, storytime at the library, going to museums, reading and just having fun!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Having fun with the kids! Having a routine but being flexible and in tune with the kids. Keeping them safe and treating them as your own.

My experience with special needs children...

In the daycare center I worked in I had experience with some children who was autistic.

The most important part about being a nanny...

In the Spring when it was raining outside I dressed the kids in their rain coats, boots and they each had an umbrella to play in the rain. They had so much fun splashing and jumping into the puddles!
At my current job having the 19 months old hearing my voice when I arrive in the morning and then coming to give me a hug and smiling when he sees me.
Taking the almost 2 yr old to the Delaware nature and Science museum and seeing it through his eyes.
The 2yr old getting so excited seeing school buses or trucks while riding in the car.
