Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I volunteered at the Tech Museum where we would set up games that helped with cognitive development. I was a gallery facilitator there and most of the children were school aged.
My mom has been babysitting children for 8 years in our home. I have assisted with the care of the children. I was given the responsibility of picking them up from school, changing them, feeding them, and putting them to sleep.
This past year I did my clinical rotations in the Pediatric unit where I was taking care of ill patients from 5 months to 16 year olds. I also did my clinical rotations in Labor & Delivery and NICU. I was able to change newborns diapers, administer vaccines, and assist with feeds.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
For younger children, I usually read books with them. I am bilingual. I speak both Spanish and English. Therefore, I like teaching children how to say numbers and colors in Spanish.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny is treating these children as if they were your own or even better. Leaving your children with strangers is sometimes terrifying that is why it is important to give these children extra attention and care. I am not a parent yet but I have many siblings and other children I care for. It is a beautiful thing to watch their milestones and growth. I am very happy to be an important role in these children's lives. Education is also important to me so I like doing activities where we are engaging their cognitive abilities. I want to see these children excel in all areas!
The most important part about being a nanny...
I take care of a 2 year old and she is learning how to speak. I taught her to say I love you. Later in the day, I took a picture of us and printed it out from my polaroid. She hugged the picture close to her chest and looked at me and said "I love you" and kissed the photo. That was the cutest thing ever!
