A little bit about me

Hello my name is Denise all my children I've cared for over the years call me Mrs.Dee Dee. Ist I have worked with children since 1990 at the age of 19yrs when I first opened my in home daycare that I truly enjoyed and ran until around the age of 47/48yrs when my one and only child turned 3yrs old. My mother also ran her inhome daycare for 18yrs together we have taken care of several children and generations of kids in Mobile. Since than I have worked in several daycare centers taken care of all age children..I truly love and enjoy what I do.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I've worked at kids stuff on Hillcrest rd with 12mns - 2yrs..I've worked at seeds of joy with 4/5yr olds. I've worked at Peace and Joy with 5/9yr olds. I've worked at Government st daycare with 2yr olds to name a few.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love playing games appropriate to their ages..I love teaching them through play numbers colors alphabet etc...love doing art projects..I also love teaching them games that I played as a child like I've been teaching my 8yr old daughter jacks, marbles, hop scotch etc age appropriate of course. Love teaching basic baking cookies etc. Outside fun nature walks..Reading books coloring. My daughter is an actress so we love doing plays and skits. I have tons and tons of learning toys and things at home from having my inhome daycare also my mom had an inhome daycare also both of us for over 28yrs so I have all kinds of learning games etc for kids..

The most important part about being a nanny...

I would say protecting, teaching and loving the children and receiving that unconditional love back...Knowing that you took a small part in helping that little girl/boy into becoming a loving beautiful smart human being.

My experience with special needs children...

I've had some experience with an artistic 8yr old at one of the daycares I've worked at. I really got attached to him he was so precious...

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moments with working with children is basically everything about it. I love all kids all ages always have as a little girl myself I started babysitting at the age of 11yrs and never stopped 😃
