Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have worked in an in-home caregiving situation for 2 years and have been currently working at Wellspring Academy (mainly a Preschool) & have enjoyed working with infants & toddlers under 2 for months. I went from assistant teacher to a floater teacher now, so I have experience with older kids as well 2-4.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Main things: soccer, basketball, bubbles, chalk, splashing in puddles, exploring, swimming, jump rope, and biking, etc !
The most important part about being a nanny...
To care for, learn about, respect and protect the children I've been put in charge of. I was very timid wheni started out in daycare and nanny work, so worried about doing the wrong thing, I never wanted a child to fear me or see me angry. But I quickly learned how to approach discipline in a more restrained and calm manner than I was taught as a child & etc. I hate raising my voice and etc, but safety is also important so I try my best to find the balance of gentle correction & to set the kiddos up for success
My experience with special needs children...
Mainly children on the spectrum, some completely non-verbal with ipads and some who were more verbal & etc.
I understand how certain noises or activities can overwhelm someone who is special needs and try to adjust our tasks for the day or plans to accommodate their needs and comfortability level

Probably when some of the kids who started my past daycare job with as 12-18 months, started calling for me by name when I'd enter the room! I always thought it was so sweet
