Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I’ve done voluntarily work with children, and elderly. I’ve done volunteer work at elementary schools and read books and bonded with the kids. I’ve also done volunteer work at a senior homes, baking cookies and cupcakes, and again just bonding with them.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Going on walk, playing games whether that being video games, board games or physical activities. I love playing sports and coloring. And just chilling watching their favorite movie or tv show. I’m truly a kid at heart, so there is an endless amount of fun we can have!
The most important part about being a nanny...
Always making sure they feel safe, and protected. But knowing how to interact with them because all kids are different. You have to be willing to put their needs first.
My experience with special needs children...
Mostly autism. I have a cousin with autism and I used to baby sit 2 different kids with different forms of autism. I’ve cared for a kid who has severe autism, he can’t talk, or have a conversation but he’s such a sweet kid. No matter their disability, they all have beautiful hearts.
